Good afternoon fellow Noon Optimists and friends,
It's a beautiful day for a Noon Optimist meeting.
We had no guests at today's meeting and if anyone had a birthday they didn't own up to it.
I have one announcement: Phil Wyss would like to host the garage sale this year but needs to know how many volunteers he'll have to help out. He needs people to set up early in the day and tear down in the evening. The garage sale will be held the Saturday before Labor Day weekend. If you can help out please let Phil Know.
Chuck Hinkle was the designated greeter. Chuck awarded to prize to Nick Schenkel.Good job Nick.
Jim Tudor gave last week's contest. Today he announced that Chuck Hinkle won.
This week's contest was presented by Ralph Green: questions about Indiana History.
Winners of the drawing were: Phil Wyss, Stephanie Mann, and Michael Bucy.
Dinah Tudor introduced our speaker, John Prewett. John's presentation was titled "Paddling the Canadian Lakes". We all enjoyed his tales of fun and trepidation in the Canadian wilderness. The presentation included a slide show and some of his equipment.
